Eni to ya egbefa ti ko san, o dina egbeje

Translation :

(He who borrows one thousand, two hundred and refuses to pay has blocked one thousand,
four hundred)


Meaning :

This proverb clearly emphasis, that when we borrow anything from someone, we are morally
obliged to return or repay it as at when due, your inability to do so deprive you from other better opportunities.
It also emphasizes the need for honesty.
